AUSANGATE MOUNTAIN

This magnificent and demanding trek around the majestic snow capped AUSANGATE Mountain, take place in an astonishing landscape, between glaciers and erosion valleys. FIRST DAY : CUSCO – OCONGATE – TINQUI

In the first day of the journey, we’ll leave Cusco at 6:00 a.m. direct to the town of TINQUI, passing close to colourful villages and extended crop areas. In this place we’ll install our base camp. We’ll have Dinner and we’ll stay overnight.

SECOND DAY : TINQUI – UPIS

Early, after breakfast we’ll begin our trek direct to the majestic snow capped AUSANGATE mountain 6,372 meters msl., observing the costumes and the dances of the inhabitants of the Andean culture. Travel Agency in Peru

On the trek we’ll be able to watch herds of llamas and alpacas, on the way we’ll visit the small village of UPIS (4,140 meters msl.). After lunch we’ll install the base camp near a hot spring. After a relaxing bath, we’ll have a delicious dinner. Overnight

THIRD DAY : UPIS – PUCACOCHA LAGOON

Early, after breakfast, we’ll start the trek crossing the ARAPA PASS at 4,700 meters msl. After we’ll go down the valley to the PAUCARCOCHA LAGOONS, where we’ll be rewarded with a beautiful view of the breathtaking landscape Travel Agency in Peru

We’ll install the base camp on the shores of PUCACOCHA lagoon (4,575 meters msl.)

FOURTH DAY : PUCACACOCHA – PALOMANI PASS – CHILCAPINAYA

In this part of the journey we’ll be able to observe the glaciation’s of AUSANGATE mountain, after we’ll climb to reach the ALCATANI pass (4,650 meters msl.), then we’ll go down the valley of the AUSANGATECOCHA lagoon. Thereafter we’ll climb to get the PALOMANI PASS (5,050 meters msl.), location with stunning landscapes. After we’ll go down to the village of CHICAPINAYA, where we’ll set up the base camp and have the opportunity to rest. All the meals are included. Overnight.

FIFTH DAY : CHILCAPINAYA – JAMPA VALLEY – PACHASPATA

Our route continues on the JampaValley, location where we’ll be able to contact with the people, as well as to see large groups of llamas, alpacas and sheep. After we’ll climb to reach the last pass at 4,600 meters msl, once passed we’ll have a beautiful view of TICLLACOCHA LAGOON. Then we’ll continue to go down to the plains of PACHASPATA. We’ll install the camp on the shores of  QOMERCOCHA LAGOON.

SIXTH DAY : QOMERCOCHA LAGOON – PACCHANTA

While we’re going down to the village of  PACCHANTA, we’ll see beautiful landscapes. After the trek we’ll be rewarded with a hot spring swim, right in front of the snow capped Ausangate Mountain. Travel Agency in Peru

We’ll install the base camp close to the village of Pacchanta. All the meals are included. Overnight.

SEVENTH DAY : PACCHANTA – TINQUI – CUSCO

After a short trek, we’ll arrive to the town of Tinqui, place where we’ll take the bus back to Cusco. Chicas Cusco Peru
